Great PETG! Radioactive translucent green flakes!

I've started printing on another printer, the Prusa Bear 2.1 Mk3s+ and I love how well this PETG prints. 1.75mm. I only had to make two test cubes of the vase to get a solid extrusion multiplier for a 0.45mm extrusion width. I print at 250c with an 85c plate. The adhesion of the layers is impeccable and the resulting finish is nice and clean. It adheres perfectly to the structured construction site and is released after completion and cooling. It is very transparent green, when viewed through a

More transparent than I would like

More transparent than the Sunlu I use (yes I know PETG is transparent but it is significantly more). Also wants 10C+. Haven't printed with it yet but will soon and will update in about 1/2 spool. Overall, I'm looking at the benefits of PETG. PETG: Slightly more versatile than PLA and less smelly than ABS (I've had my experiences with ABS and printed ABS for years.) Works better in hotter environments (in the car, outside in the sun) Flexible (great for "clip" type things ) Still pretty safe…

Pros
  • Less tangle
Cons
  • No performance

Great PETg filament at an incredible price.

I switched from PLA to PETG a few months ago and have no regrets. I tried Hatchbox which was my favorite PLA filament but had trouble with their Petg. I bought 2 rolls of Overture but actually had some minor tangles on the roll which caused the print to fail on both rolls. And then I tried Nova Maker. Nova Maker thread is about the same quality as Overture, but seems to wind on the spool better. The prints turned out great and the translucent blue is probably my favorite filament color so far…
