🔍 Filtrete HDGR F01 4WH High-Capacity Grooved Microns Filter Review

I started out by buying a range of Aqua Pure filters, also from 3M. Then the prices for them went up a lot and I switched to this Filtrete line. Aside from the green and blue ends, both are 5 micron filters and look exactly the same. If there's a performance difference between the two, I haven't noticed it. This filter holds back just as much sediment as the Aqua-pure models.

Not sure if this is the correct part but after much research and thought I bought this product as it was worth the risk with a free return policy. It was perfect for my very old water filter system. The price was much lower than the manufacturer's website. After installing the new filter and it was working great I went back and bought 3 more to change regularly as recommended.

Works reasonably well. I change mine about every six months. However, my water entering the filter housing is pretty clean anyway. Your situation may be different. For example, in several counties southwest of where I live now, the situation was very different. Every time it rained for a day or more, we had cloudy water and had to use store-bought gallons of water until it cleared. I had to change the water filter much more often.

I bought these filters to use with my GE Whole House water filtration system. I have well water with a lot of iron, which causes rust stains in my tubs and sinks. The filtration system is important, but I have to change the filters every six weeks. This becomes very expensive as well-known branded filters cost almost three times the price of that brand. The Filtrete cartridge works just as well and I will continue to order from Revain so I always have spare cartridges on hand when I need them.

These are excellent 5 micron filters sold at an attractive price. I've bought several of these filters over the years and swap them out every two months. The filters did an excellent job of trapping the debris and iron sulfide crystals that were present in the home's water well. I tried various pleated filters before using these filters, but they had to be replaced more frequently and the 30 micron rating meant each passed finer debris and sulfide crystals.
