Terrible waste of money.

We've been using this brand of air filters for years, but the company made terrible design changes to the product. Now they are practically useless and a waste of money. The size is slightly different, but it's enough that the filter is very difficult to fit in the room - you basically have to put it in place. Due to the difference in size and seemingly cheaper materials used in production, the filter frames are bent a few days after installation. As a result, the filters no longer fit properly

Good balance between strong filtration and airflow.

Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter, MPR 1900 filters are higher quality filters that offer a good balance of fine particle filtration and no airflow restriction. On my system, an MPR 1900 seems to be the limit of filtering before I realize my system needs to work harder. These filters trap dust, bacteria, germs, viruses and allergens. They are designed to last up to 3 months, but I can stretch them a bit longer. Filtrete Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen Reduction Filter…

Ignore the naysayers: great filter and packaging

Despite many meaningless "reviews" here, I first bought 3M Filtrete 1900 Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen 2-Pack Filter after realizing that "Consumer Reports Magazine rated the filter I used as one of the worst tested. (This Filtrete 1900 model received one of the highest ratings, by the way.) The photo shows what I received on February 17, 2021: two intact 16x25x1 filters that were shrink wrapped together and shipped in a strong master carton. not in individual packaging. That's unnecessary…

Possible strong alternative to the inverted MPR 2200.

After a series of mistakes when purchasing MPR 2200 filters (see review here) Filtrete MPR 2200 16 x 25 x 1 Healthy Living Elite Allergen Reduction AC Furnace Air Filter , uncompromising air thread, 2 packs), I settled on MPR 1900 filters to see if that line falls as in the "higher" class. We've been using this new filter in our apartment for a couple of weeks and so far it seems to be working as advertised. My wife and I see a little more particle flow than we're used to seeing from the 2200…

Best HVAC Specialist Building Materials

Excellent Filter. I work in HVAC and work with different types of filters. In my opinion this is the best you can buy in the 1 inch category. It fits snugly against the filter grilles, keeping air out of the sides. However, it's not so tight that you have to pinch it to get it in place. It doesn't bounce up and down while the system fan is running. The extra pleats provide significantly less static pressure, which extends the life of the fan motor, but also allows for more airflow when properly

3M releases the third version of this filter, quality drops

About ten years ago we went for a 1900 rating in the 3m Filtrete line, when they were still classified as "Absolute Allergen" were designated. About five years ago, the marketing branding was called "Healthy Lifestyle" with the same rating of 1900. The product we just received carries on that brand, but we've noticed a definite drop in quality. All three filter versions released in 2009 were made in Mexico. Our earliest example had full color coding, thick protective paper and each filter in a…
