🔪 Fiskars Crafts Premier Ultra-Sharp Thread Trimmer Review

I bought these 15 months ago and loved the protection that came in, but less than 12 months later they were cutting less often and becoming dull. It takes a few snips to cut my serger threads which was the purpose of this purchase. So disappointed that the warranty is not through Revain but is stated by Fiskars. Let's see how long it will take and what the shipping cost will be for them to replace them? Eh

I have been using the Fiskars brand for at least 30 years. I have too many to count their blade/scissor sharpeners. I was always satisfied until I ordered the last 2. This pair is fabric scissors. In a couple of months they slipped so badly they only cut the blade halfway (for thread and yarn only). It just doesn't feel like these 2 pairs have the quality I liked. I am a hairstylist so I understand the importance of only using them for what they are intended for.

I gave these 1 star because they are very sharp and cut the thread cleanly. However, the blades feel misaligned and scratch so hard (not smooth) that it sounds like metal is crunching. Friction/resistance from scratching (oh, here's a description that might help: it sounds like a garden rake going through a pile of rocks lol!).
