When your hands hurt.

I bought Ginger scissors. Scissors are fine but I'm 65 and found them heavy and had arthritic hands after long use. I reluctantly bought Fiskars and am so glad I did. These scissors are very light and sharp and require less effort. I bought ginger for its quality and size. I don't know if Fiskars can be resharpened. As long as they're great.

Great scissors

I still have scissors that seem sharp enough to shave flesh after 15+ years. I've used them to cut through hard plastic (milk cans) and they're still sharp. I decided it was time to get a new pair, although the old pair wasn't quite dull just yet. I'd like to have a sharp blade for some projects and while the old 15 year denomination works they need to be adjusted. I will use the new pair for finer cuts like fabric and keep the old one for consumables. I would not recommend letting small…

They broke on first use

I used these scissors to trim stems of artificial flowers. I figured a razor blade would do the job quickly. Instead, the scissors on the third flower had cracked, preventing them from opening and closing smoothly. I swapped out the scissors for a Fiskars I bought about 30 years ago and was able to finish the job with no problems. It's sad that the quality and durability of Fiskars has dropped compared to what they have produced in the past. Fiskars says their shears are backed by a lifetime…

The best scissors for industrial use in a busy office!

We use these scissors every day in our office. Razor sharp, they cut through many things we cut everyday, from paper and cardboard to fabric and even that thick, sticky industrial grade Velcro that comes on a large roll. We can use these scissors daily and they seem to last us about 3 years on a pair before they become sticky from adhesive residue or fade. We still have to tighten the handle. They cross a straight line but I can see where a negative reviewer might have arthritis issues. This is

The strongest, sharpest and best scissors I have ever used!

I bought this product about 10 years ago. These scissors are so strong and sharp that I was able to cut multiple sheets of paper (e.g. 20-25 sheets). As a teacher/coach, I would have to destroy the player's medical record. Since the documents were stapled and hundreds of bags had to be discarded, I took a few bags and cut off the stapled corners to feed the sheets through the shredder. Sometimes I'd have so many packages with one cut that I later realized I had actually cut the staples right…
