The plastic is definitely not as good quality as the factory mirror but does the job. You'll have to remove part of the door panel, but overall the installation is easy.

I installed the mirror about 2 months ago. As I got into my truck this morning, I noticed that my mirror was no longer engaged. It just moves freely. I know nothing surprised him. Because my truck was parked in front of my house for several days.

Perfect fit for 2009 Silverado Pickup. The first box was damaged in transit. Not enough filling. Replacement device came quickly! No problem! Free returns. My mirror is manually adjustable. No electricity. But I still had to remove the door panel to access the nuts! Saved $$$ with DIY! Be sure to have a 10mm metric head and extension!

Ordered and went to install and found there were no connectors for the wires that control the heated mirrors and move them with the internal controls. waste of time and money. And since I had to have one because my old one was completely broken, I had to put it on anyway because I can't wait for a refund and buy another one hoping the next one will be right. Very dissatisfied.

Works great and I just googled the installation instructions to remove the door which was pretty easy to remove once I could see where all the screws were holding the door in place. However, I would like to get a replacement with a motor and possibly a de-icer. But eh, that's my bad choice before I read everything. Although it works great!
