Passed with no problems. I can't say that about the OEM, the electronics work great and it's cheaper than buying used on eBay. Would definitely buy again

The electronic mirror on the driver's side cannot be adjusted upwards like the original mirror. However, setting the maximum boost is enough for me. But if I was 1 inch taller, the mirror would be unacceptable. I am 5ft 6in for reference if you are considering this mirror.

Not as good as the original but fully functional as a replacement. It took a while to get used to the fact that it's bulbous, but other than that it does what it says on the tin and is worth 1/3 the price of an original Mazda replacement. Well packaged, all parts were present and easy to find. All he needs to do is attach clear replacement instructions or maybe a link to a YouTube video.

This is a suitable replacement for the OEM mirror, it fits my 03 Protege5 perfectly. , and the glass quality is not as good as OEM. However, none of these issues are a problem in any way, they are good but not as good as the OEM part. You can't beat it for the price. When installing, just note that you will need a very small precision screwdriver to remove the door tweeter wiring connectors from the old mirror's wiring harness so that you can install them into the new mirror's wiring harness.

Perfect match for my car. However, I see a problem with not 'raising' the mirror enough for some people. Straightening my seat wouldn't work for me, but I always recline a bit so the field of view suits me. If you're tall or like to sit up straight, you should probably stay away from it. (For reference, I'm 5'11"). The motor worked well and looks like an OEM part. Would (if someone slaps me on the side again) buy it again.

The mirror was almost an exact match, but the 3 nut bolts were about 1/2 inch longer. It wasn't a problem for the bottom two cleats, but the top one prevented the garnish from snapping in. I had to trim it down with bolt cutters and a hacksaw blade after installation. After I cut it off the decoration fitted nicely, but it shouldn't have been necessary.
