I really like this hat. Unlike the fabric ones, it's very light and fresh and cools my head. The crown is slightly larger than the fabric one and the front is sponge but I find that a good thing as it doesn't wrinkle my hair and allows more room to breathe. It also fits better as I have longer hair on my head, smaller caps just sit on my head and fall off easily.

The string that was supposed to run along the beak where the beak attaches to the hat was only attached on one side and was hanging down when it arrived. I sewed it in place and my son loves it. It's just frustrating that I had to repair a brand new item.

If your father-in-law wants to get rid of his Florida hat that sported his sister-in-law's rival college team he lived with, then one of these hats is for you! Just get out of Florida and wear classic blue and white. No one will judge or spit at you for what is written there. Update: The cord trimming has come loose and the foam crown is now sticking out like the top of a cupcake.
