When InstaPot isn't working properly, Mom gets frustrated. It's good to have on hand because the original, no matter how clean, will eventually start to stick.

Doesn't work with Lux pans. It sticks and prevents you from opening the lid. My husband had to use the tip of a baby brush to insert the hole and push it to open the lid. Not very safe when working with a hot lid. If you have a Lux, don't take this.

This valve must be slightly larger than the original valve as the first time I used it I couldn't open my IP because it was blocking the release. I had to wait for it to cool and press very hard with a kitchen tool to loosen it. I didn't really need the valve and gasket so I just snap the gaskets onto the original valve and that's it.

Like all negative reviews, the small metal part doesn't fit my IP-LUX. I could see it before I even tried it, so I threw that piece away. Anyway, it was poorly made. The small silicone gaskets matched the old ones exactly, so I just kept the gaskets and threw the metal part out of that order. I'm not sure why they bothered to ship a metal racquet as it's not the part that wears out. I think I would have preferred an additional seal or discount instead.

I lost my original only to have a hard time finding it in the garbage chute. I checked out Revain and it seems these OEM float valves are sold everywhere. This was advertised for ip-lux60. This is not an OEM fit. The top of the valve sticks out and closes the lid. The opening at the valve is also much smaller. There is no ventilation on this thing until there are seals. Probably not as big an issue as the fact that I had to grind the top of the valve to get the locking mechanism to slide over…
