Puppy Chewed Fixed Hat

Bought after my puppy chewed on my brother's favorite hat which could only be bought at a national park a long way away. Glue (user error). I took off a star as they are not as long as the original cap but still fit.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Useless Features

Crisis averted, pup lives to see the new day

I removed the chewed ones and they fit perfectly. I glued it in place and then hand stitched it using a large needle and standard thread. It's not too difficult to get the needle through the rubber/plastic material. I fired the needle and then used the countertop to pierce it just enough to pull it out. 15 minute job from start to finish

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great Snapback Replacement

Use these to replace the SnapBack with my favorite armor cap. I love this hat and don't want to let it go. So changing the locks was the only way out. This was easy, took the thread around the old bartack and threaded it back into the sewing machine 3 times to make sure it was strong. and good to go. Now some people have used hot glue and they say it stays on. But me, I take a lot of photos, so I sewed and I don't see any difference. They are strong and black.

Doesn't work as a hat extender

If I'm not missing anything it actually doesn't work very well as a hat extender. The plastic square/flat end interferes with the plastic bulges that protrude on a regular snap strap. And then at the other end it only hangs down from the hat about half an inch. A single piece of plastic with holes and bulges, usually placed between two snaps on a hat, is better. Unfortunately this is just useless.

Pros
  • Clasps
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Replacement Parts > Extensions

This is normal. I haven't tried them as a replacement since I bought them as an extension. I'm sure they would be pretty much perfect as a replacement. As extensions, they are uncomfortable. It's a bit about tucking the tapered brim under the hat's fabric and hoping for the best. I needed extensions to fit my thick hair under the hat (it was meant to be a ponytail with a snap under the ponytail) and I was able to do it, but there aren't many variations. So it sits pretty loose. Overall there…
