Excellent quality, the name Florsheim speaks for itself

The brand name speaks for itself. quality material. This is the dress belt I was looking for but couldn't find in department stores.

Pros
  • Great fit, padded waistband - very comfortable. Looks good too. Very satisfied.
Cons
  • The lack of color and buckle options doesn't offer much variety in this line of products.

Buy something made out of genuine leather instead.

Everyone knows that "real leather" is junk quality leather, but functionally it's plastic. I know this because after about a week of use, some of the paint has scraped off the back revealing what looks like a whitish mess. Pros: Looks good, new. Fits me when I was wider. Cons: Looks like trash after a few wears. Buy something made out of genuine leather instead. .

It does what you would expect from a belt.

So far it does what I expect from a belt. I received it a few days ago, so I can't comment on durability. However, the belt makes a decent impression for the price.

Broke and split after wearing it once!

This belt does not deserve the name Florsheim. I have never had a strap break after just one wear. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

  • Well I bought my dad, he likes it. He wears trousers in size 46/48, bought size 52 and feels great.

Not the Florsheim I remember.

I really thought that a well-known brand like Florsheim would be a win-win situation. After only two months the finish (not the leather) started to peel off. It is very sad that this happened. I never had a belt to do this with. Like the brands that used to be made in America, I think they're outsourced now.

NOT FOR HEAVY USE in belts

This belt has only been worn daily with blue jeans for 4 months. The strap broke through the punched hole. Think twice when looking for a heavy duty belt for the big guy.

I ordered the belt to match my current pant size and it actually fits very well (the third hole is just right, there's room for growth!) The material feels plastic in the hand , but visually it looks quite nice. I know it's leather, I don't doubt it, it just seems more pliable to me than other smooth leather straps I've had. It's nice and wide, which is great for people who carry a spare tire. If the belt holds up over time I will upgrade to 5 stars later.
