Description of ๐Ÿ’ก Enhanced Fluke T6-600 Electrical Tester: Boosting Efficiency and Accuracy

Measure voltage with or without test leads. Be safer: Measure voltage to 600V through the open fork, without test leads. Be faster: Not need to open covers or remove wire nuts simultaneously measure voltage and current. Be everywhere: 17.8 millimeter open fork is widest in the industry; Measure up to 200 A on 4/0 wires (120 millimeter2). Field Sense technology for AC voltage, current and frequency measurement without making electrical contact to live voltage. Jaw opening: 0.7 inch.

Field sense not working end of story

I bought 2 of these meters I was so happy I finally got one it's like new now everyone wants one but it still not enough of it Here, after 2 full weeks of use, I can tell Fluke that this tech field sense is not ready for prime time and I'm really disappointed in Fluke for an early release. Field Sense works about 20 percent of the time without a ground probe and not much better with a ground probe, while measurements in the field are just plain inaccurate you would think it was just a groundโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Field sense not working end of story

I bought 2 of these meters I was so happy to finally get one it's like a new one now everyone wants one but not enough of it anyway After 2 full weeks of use I can say that thankfully this tech sense box isn't ready for prime time and I'm really disappointed in Fluke for releasing a sense box so early which works about 20 percent of the time without ground probe. and it's not much better to use a ground probe, while the measurements in the field are just inaccurate, everywhere you go think it's

Pros
  • voltage measurement with or without test leads
Cons
  • doubt

incorrect readings when testing, measuring and verifying

I've always thought of Fluke as the best test tool in the range. I have been working in the field of electrical engineering for over 40 years. I ordered my T6-1000 and it took about a month to receive it. Even though I'm not an outdoor electrician but an entrepreneur, I like to have a tester with me if I need to be on hand. What surprised me the most when testing on our dyno is that in the field measurement position I get readings all over the place, and sometimes I get zero voltage readingsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Be everywhere: 17.8mm open fork is the widest in the industry; Measure up to 200A on 4/0 (120mm2) wire
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Sort of like my old T5-600 Better

Firstly, reviewers who claim you would be shocked by this should not use a meter or contact messing around with the electrics In general their claims are absolutely ridiculous. To my actual assessment. I use this 100 times a day, every day, so I've had plenty of time to familiarize myself with it on everything from 3 volts to 480 3 phase. The field sensor's voltage measurement was a key selling point for me, oddly enough I found it a useless feature after using it. I just use my Fluke 1AC-A IIโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Be safer: measure voltages up to 600V via an open plug, no test leads
Cons
  • Has been damaged
