Waste of money, no results

As a dedicated aquarium owner I was excited to try out this phosphate remover in hopes of improving the water quality for my fish. However, I was sorely disappointed with the product's performance... As a result of my tests, I determined that the Fluval Hagen 107 Phosphate Remover did not remove any measurable amount of phosphates from my tanks water. The only positive aspect was the ease OF installation, but that hardly makes up for the lack of results. Save your money and look for other Pet…

Pros
  • Effectively removes phosphate from aquarium water, preventing excessive algae growth and improving water clarity.
Cons
  • Requires regular replacement of the filter media to maintain effectiveness, which can increase ongoing costs for aquarium maintenance.

Doesn't really reduce phosphate levels

Installed this pad in a Fluval 107 canister hoping it would lower my phosphate levels would , that's 10 ppm. Let it run for a few days and test my waters but it didn't seem to do much.

Pros
  • For best results, change the water monthly or as needed after testing with the Fluval test kit (sold separately)
Cons
  • Out of fashion
