I wasn't sure if I should use high or medium density for the seat cushions. I combined a piece of each three inch thick medium density for some pillows and a six inch thick high density piece for others. The combination feels more comfortable when first sitting down, but I like the higher density after sitting for a while. An electric knife is the best way to cut this material. It makes the perfect cut. A utility knife makes a jagged cut.

Wow my couch is like new again! We have two boys and didn't want to buy them a new couch to ruin them so we decided to get some new upholstery foam over the last 10 years to replace the pancake cushion filling in our couches. I found this by accident. It was just what I needed and I saved $100. I bought a suitcase for under $50 that also fits perfectly. I am very happy! All I needed was something to replace my current pillows and I found it! Some may not appreciate the pillow's firmness, but for me it's perfect and my butt no longer sinks into individual pillows and I don't have to constantly slide individual pillows into place.
