Crappy "connections "

After reading other reviews I tightened the screw that holds the anchor and lever together. After a 15 minute boat ride I tried to anchor in 200 feet of water and the anchor fell apart. I am upgrading a stainless steel screw with larger threads. The connector that allows the anchor to break also looks flimsy.

Not as advertised! suitable for docking and mooring gear

We did some research beforehand and were looking for something like a welded brace. This product was advertised with a welded bracket. When it showed up, it was a bolt. Too many of these anchors are lost by loosening the screw. I do not recommend this anchor if you are looking for something secure. Not as advertised.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Available in white only

was an excellent anchor for a short time

2nd day of use noticed we were drifting closer to the rocks, luckily we turned and moved before hitting the jetty just met to find the box had come off the shelf. big waste of money. Very disappointing! I bought a second anchor only for the spring bar holding the box together to fall off, a second useless boat anchor. We strongly advise against buying this anchor

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

anchor loose. in Anchors

This anchor kicked ass. My only issue with this anchor was trying to get it out at the end of a day on the lake. It calmed down within the first 30 seconds after being thrown into the water. We anchored the pontoon in an area prone to heavy seas from jet skis, speedboats and strong winds. The thing holds like nothing happened. Actually I have two. One as the main anchor at the front and one at the back to prevent the pontoon from rocking. Without a doubt I recommend this to everyone.

Pros
  • Annual Probation
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something

Purchase a 3/8 stainless steel thread screw and 3/8 lock washer.

Great anchor until you replace the bolt that attaches the rod to the anchor. The first thing you need to do is go to your local hardware store and buy a 3/8 stainless steel thread screw and 3/8 lock washer. Pull out the old pin and discard it. Replace with a new stainless steel screw and lock washer. I know this works because my old anchor is sitting on the bottom of the lake because the pin comes loose leaving the anchor at the bottom of the lake.

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • So far so good

Poor fit and finish, poor welds but excellent functionality

Very poor fit and finish. But I guess as long as it works it shouldn't make much of a difference? 🤷🏻‍♂️I don't know how to rate. The welds look awful but then again this is a product not to be admired. You need it to stay on the bottom of the lake and hold your boat, which should do it pretty well. My friend is the same smallest size (13lbs) and fits in his 24ft Axis wakeboard boat. I plan mine will hold my 19 foot ski navigation system. These are reputedly the best anchors to buy for inland…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • No machine

Was an excellent anchor.

First used to hold a 25ft Tritoon in 15 mph winds. the latch that locks it in the unfolded position is difficult to move anyway, later you have to struggle with it and try to fold it back in. Checked a second time before leaving the house, all screws/nuts are tightened. We dropped anchor, stood for a while, noticed that we were beginning to drift, dropped anchor to try to fall. When I got to the end of my rope I found out why, the only piece left attached is the swivel bar. Screw the stay rod…

Good anchor that works, tighten before use.

I bought this anchor at the end of the season and it worked great when I needed it one time. The first cast and it hit the sandy bottom where my old anchor tried several times to gain a foothold. Worth every penny here and now. (22 ft open bow ski boat with weak river current). Some other reviews mentioned that the anchor fell apart, so I tightened all the screws right out of the box and I'm sure it will stay intact. My only complaint is the locking pin holding the anchor open and the pitch is…
