Goes a long way if you water it down. I was using it undiluted at first but the thickness made it difficult to spread and small crevasses were hard to fill without wasting a lot. So I did a 1 to 1 ratio of dye to water and it made a huge difference. It now brushed on super fast and filled every crevasse easily and quickly. I wouldn't recommend this for wood unless you also have a vacuum chamber to truly draw the dye into the wood. Otherwise you wont get any sort of penetration at all. I suppose that's fine for somethings, but it didn't really work for my application. Oh and the colors are NOT what they appear to be in the pictures!

I wanted clothes dye. When this came, and it said it was for wood, I thought what the heck. This is a bang-around outfit and I'll see what happens. This was the color I wanted. My clothes didn't fully dye to my liking and I got Fit tangerines. To my surprise, that color was similar and resulted in a successful.dye for that outfit.

Love this dye! I have used it on a few furniture pieces and it looks incredible. It's a new addition to furniture repurposing. Wear gloves, it stains skin too. It can be used full strength or diluted down with water for softer tones.

Uses this to die a new unfinished corner table. Extremely easy to apply and one bottle was more than enough for my small project. It may or may not have been necessary but I went back over it with matte polyurethane and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I used this to dye a pinewood plank. It turned out pretty good. I think I would prefer it to be more natural for my next project. You can get a deep purple or with some sanding you can get it too look somewhat magenta.

I've bought several different colors of the Ultra Dye and absolutely love the vibrant color I can get on wood. I use the dye to create thing green line flags made out of pine. Works great on maple too. Easy one coat and easy to clean up makes this my go to dye.
