These clips seem great, I bought them to build forts for my kids. However, they are sharp as I come out! I cut my finger twice on raw metal edges. Fortunately, the children are not old enough to build the fortress themselves. We have to switch to old wooden clips where, in the worst case, there can be a tiny chip. They literally cut like a razor blade even though the edges are curved.

I was pleasantly surprised by these clothespins and yes they are stainless steel, polished stainless steel. The spring, which also appears to be rust-free, is surprisingly strong, all but one is fine. Sharp edges on inner surfaces, children can cut their fingers while playing. If maybe the manufacturer rolled them in abrasive balls, they could solve that one problem. The rest is perfect.

I have several garden beds with coated 1/2" PVC pipe hangers for a row above. These clips are perfect for 1/2" PVC. They are so easy to remove compared to the plastic clips you can get for row covers. They don't rust and are a good size so they don't stick out too much. The only downside to installing the row caps is that the ends can puncture the row caps when reattaching. It would be great if they had soft, rubberized tips to prevent this.

I bought two sets of these clothespins. I am returning a package that I have not yet opened. Today I used it for the first time. The neck of these clips is too big for my vinyl clothesline, so they held my thin blouse on the rope but not in place, causing the blouse to slide and bunch up.
