Food Savor 1 liter bag

I have been trying to get ziplock vacuum bags since trying everything to get my Food Saver working as its only a year old and this only thing i can rely on the manual vacuum sealer you pull out. Very disappointed with the sealing and it was nothing more than a waste of money! I finally found what I was looking for at Wal-Mart.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

Dimensions have changed. Unsatisfied!

I am not satisfied with the different sizes I received for different orders. On my previous order I received regular quart sized bags but when I made my last purchase the bag was shorter. This makes packing items more difficult as the vacuum sealer needs at least 1 inch from the bag to seal. I prefer the original longer quart bags. I hope the company fixes this issue.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • something else

Bags are not the right length - buy a fake

Do not recommend these bags. I use Foodsaver Green Box 1 liter bags. I use them on my steaks and the meats I cook. This box, this brown box from Food Saver is 2.5 cm shorter than other 1 liter bags. You need that 1 inch to properly close the bags. It's not what I wanted when I bought it. I scream bad! See attached photo. The bottom pouch was removed from a box of 44 1 quart pouches. The shorter 1 above shows it's not the same.

A little tip on small appliances

Good considering what's going on with Covid-19. No one who is careful will keep the box it was sent in. I have disinfected the box it was sent in. As the box sat and dried out, I opened the box only to find packages that were in the same box they were sent in. no box for her. So yes, I put them in a ziplock bag until I use them. For the future. I think it would be nice if you put this kind of items in a little bigger box so we can drop the shipping box and save the 90 bag box. Not that I'mโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Don't fall for imitations!

last time I bought a non-brand because I thought a bag is a bag. NOT CORRECT! Half of what I've frozen in other bags ended up with a small leak/crack somewhere I could never find, but they filled with air and got freezer burned. I ended up throwing away some of the food and that defeated the whole purpose. So are they really cheaper? Just not with spoiled food! They are a bit more expensive but I know my food is safe. I hate wasting food even though I'm losing money. So again I spend a littleโ€ฆ

VERY ! Disappointed

Your quart bags aren't what they used to be. I use them for sous vide cooking. They made the bags cheaper and made them 10 inches instead of the 11 inches they've had for years. This is very important if you use them like I do. I'd like to speak to the idiot who made that decision. I always try to use products recommended by the manufacturer. This usually means better quality. It certainly ruins their image. Don't change anything without warning the consumer. I hate doing returns but this timeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Damaged

The size is reduced. Practically useless to me.

I ordered a box of these 2 years ago (2019) and just finished them. Reordered what appeared to be an identical product, except the pockets are now over an inch shorter. They are labeled as liter bags and yes they hold a liter of water if you don't plan on sealing them! A liter of dry rice does not fit in a bag. Someone decided to save pennies on each batch at the expense of the customer. To be honest, if your costs go up, increase the price a bit. I'd rather have a product that works than those

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not all fit
