FOOS Carving Engraving Premium Carbide Review

When I tried this product, it was a disaster. The Carbide blade became dull after minimal usage which was shocking considering the premium price I paid for it.

I bought this tool to make very light lines on some of my signs and so far I have been very impressed. I've probably done 25 foot 3/32 inch lines in oak and another 50 feet or so in cedar and it's still sharp. I'm curious if I can sharpen it like I do with my other router. Bits but if not for the price I would just buy another one.

I make custom wood signs and use these wood carvers to carve precise patterns in wood. The bits stay sharp for a reasonable amount of time, but some might expect more durability, especially since I'm cutting soft woods. The price made me buy the Foos Bits. For the money they are of excellent quality! I went back to redeem the 4-bit pack and unfortunately the price has more than doubled since my original purchase. I would buy again but with the price adjustment I will shop.
