very comfortable, very loud

I ordered these shoes based on a review in golf magazine and have had them for 3 rounds now. I need a very wide one and that fits. They're very comfortable, but the rubber-mesh upper (which makes them waterproof) that wraps around the shoe about an inch above the sole makes a sort of popping sound every time it flexes and relaxes. It's a strange noise and quite annoying. My playmates had a lot of fun. They cannot sneak up on someone who is wearing them. If I had to do it all over again, I would

very comfortable, very loud

You can't go wrong with these shoes!

Full Disclosure - I'm a longtime fan of Footjoy golf shoes! I will add that I am also a lifelong wanderer to play the game. As for this particular model, I've worn them about 6 times and they're instantly comfortable. No hack needed. The lug-free outsole grips very well both on the swing and on the golf course. At first I thought the wide heel looked a little redesigned, but they are comfortable all day AND they are waterproof! I also have the Flex model which is not waterproof and I wear it as

Great performance shoe but horrible "pop " noise. Act quickly when you hear this.

All weather. Ideal for walking as a golf shoe. Good on a noisy city freeway (pop music is muted), but crap in a quiet country club or in the middle of nowhere. I wear them to my local community class but ended up buying some SketchHers for the more relaxed classes. They only accept returns for unused shoes and only within 30 days. So check them out as you walk around the house. If you hear popping noises, send them back! After that, the guarantee is only 90 days, so if you hear this at aโ€ฆ
