My truck shifted erratically and the tachometer ran erratically. It was the solution. Exact replacement for my 91 f250 7.3 IDI with Banks Sidewinder.

The tachometer on my 94 f250 7.3 idi was not working and my transmission shifted erratically as a result. This piece was a straight fit and it fixed my problem flawlessly.

I checked the resistance on my old sensor and it was zero. Should be between 2K and 3K. I ordered this sensor and it fit perfectly (including the connector on the wires) and now my touch is working. I'm happy.

The touch screen in my 85 f 250 6.9l diesel no longer works. Tried every local auto parts store. Not only do they not carry a tachometer, they don't even list it. Very happy with this replacement, fits perfectly no issues and my speedometer works great.

Lately my 1987 F250 6.9IDI tachometer has not shown any engine RPM which is evident on a cold start at high idle when the engine is revving where it is should rotate but the tachometer shows 200 rpm. Replaced the sensor this morning in about 10 minutes, don't forget to put a few drops of oil on the o-ring before installing.
