Not Impressed: Poor Quality Electronics

After I put it to the test, I was disappointed with the poor quality of this camera accessory. Despite its claims to be a "smart" adapter, it didn't perform as expected and caused more frustration than convenience. The only positive point is that it fits my camera, but that's not enough to justify its high price. The cons outweigh any potential benefits - I wouldn't recommend this product to others.

Pros
  • Allows the use of Canon EF lenses on Sony E-mount cameras
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Doesn't seem to control lens aperture with electronic iris only

My Panasonic only displays aperture for EF lenses with electronic iris, but doesn't actually change it. I can change the aperture from the lowest or maximum aperture supported by the lens (which is defined correctly), it doesn't actually change the aperture, it seems like it's fully open. I'm about to make a return.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Dim set

WILL NOT WORK with lens accessories

If you're considering buying this adapter, consider the Sigma MC-21 again. I bought this item on recommendation because it fits better (which it does) and everything has worked fine for a while (I have a Panasonic S1H). Then I suddenly had problems with my Zeiss 50mm lens. Aperture not working properly. Please watch the video. It will get stuck at f/4 and then start inverting and jumping around in a weird erratic motion. Then it's wrong. So the camera says f/16, but it's actually f/4. This is…

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long wait
