Shockproof dial indicator is designed to measure surface variations in 0.001 of an inch. American Gage design (AGD) Group 2, 2-1/4" dial diameter with continuous 0-100 dial reading, Tolerance markers, 0.001" graduations, and revolution counter for indication of travel. Plunger has 1 inch. Ip-54 Rating and O-Ring seals on Safety cap, bezel, and rotating dial for protection from oil, dust, coolant, and water.

Not accurate for industrial use

The Fowler 52 520 455 0 Shockproof Blackface Graduation is misleadingly advertised as shockproof and durable. Using this product, our team found that it failed to produce accurate measurements in an industrial setting which compromised our production line. The only pro is its easy-to-read scale, but this does not justify its uselessness in actual industrial and scientific work. Save your money and invest in a more reliable measuring tool from another brand..

I liked that it was sealed so it was smaller.

I liked that it was sealed so it was less prone to coolant ingress, ran smoothly but felt a little tight like it had a stiffer spring than regular turn signals.
