I came across an article that said chicken is best roasted on the "back". (more fat to drip onto the rest of the bird). The cheap beer can roaster I had (no, I've never used it with beer cans!) didn't do it, so I bought it. Much more stable. Sometimes you have to break a bone to get a bird's head on the roaster first. If you buy from the butcher, let the butcher do it.

works perfectly! good for roaster

I've been using my last one for over 10 years, great way to roast chicken. In the middle I put sprigs of rosemary and small pieces of lemon and other citrus fruits and strong herbs. Just brush, soak as needed, and buy a long-lasting toothbrush to clean "nooks and crannies," as one reviewer mentioned. I also make herb salt and salt the chicken 1 day ahead, place on a small baking sheet in a deep fryer and let air dry in the garage fridge, mostly dry brine to flavor the meat and reduce moisture…

Easy Yummy Pea Dishes!

Great! I place them on a baking sheet and make two 6 pound chickens at the same time. They charge over $3 a pound for a grill in my store (they are tiny and mostly bone). So these have already paid for themselves. Throw them in the dishwasher when you're done and voila, they're clean. (Disclaimer: I sprayed it with oil before putting the birds in, just in case). There is a review I read about turning a bird upside down and then slow cooking at 275 (for normal convection 265) for a few hours. It

Works, but. in brazier

my bad. I didn't pay enough attention to the specs and it's so small. I replaced one about twice the height and while it works it's not as stable for large birds. Vertical broilers cook the bird better and don't put fat on it, and the skin browns so well. I highly recommend it, but at the time it was the highest available on Revain. I hope that a higher one will be offered. Note: Spray or apply some oil for easier removal. My other finally lost its opacity after so many washes. Lasted for years

This vertical poultry roaster is quite sturdy and is the perfect size for a 3.5 to 4 pound chicken, but is difficult to clean. But it's not exactly "non-stick". Chicken scraps are in EVERY crack. I just couldn't bear to clean the inside corners of all the wires and had to use both a grommet and a toothpick to clean them thoroughly. I suggest you put some oil in the pan. It could make cleaning easier. I have repurposed this unit and use it as a zipper bag dryer. Works perfectly. Bought a cast…

My favorite chicken Beer can holder

I've bought this appliance for the second time now because I wanted to cook 2 chickens in the oven at the same time. I find the shape of this device better than some others I've purchased in the past. I am very happy with it especially for the price and will buy more devices in the future if needed. One downside I think all these types of devices have is that it's pretty much impossible to do while cleaning up. to get all the charred chickens from them, especially in nooks and crannies where…

I love this roaster!

What a wonderful invention! My fried chicken turns out PERFECT every time! The meat is sooooo tender and juicy, a whole chicken practically falls off the bone! Now I'm addicted to oven roasting chicken because it's so easy, quick (only a few minutes of actual labor time), and sooooooooo economical. A serving of chicken and sides cost me a dollar or two each. You can't beat that! I fry two birds at a time and save one for tomorrow's dinner :) You don't need to pre-marinate as the chicken will be
