Mostly good

I really liked this rolling pin when I first got it - the weight is great and it's very easy to clean. It doesn't roll optimally though - I'm having trouble getting the stylus to engage the buttons. Instead of holding the handles and spinning the marble part, I have to relax my grip to make both the marble and the handles roll. This can be a little frustrating when trying to roll out pie dough. For the price I can't expect it to be perfect and I can deal with it now.

Best not to roll on rolling pins

When I opened the Revain pack, a lot of small silica balls fell onto my bottom. I went to the trash can to open the package. The first thing I noticed was that the wooden pencil holder had indentations from a rolling pin that had silica balls driven into it. As for the rolling pin, it looks good, but it doesn't spin properly. The product was cheaply made and I will be returning it and looking for another brand as others say they had the same problem when it didn't spin as it should.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Probably the heaviest rolling pin I've ever used, but I love it. It's very well made and I've used it to roll out pasta and puff pastry and it worked really well with both. I love that it comes with a base because even though it's in my drawer it's still stable and won't roll into any of my other devices. It is also a very pretty rolling pin and goes perfectly with the marble cutting board I received as a gift. Works great and looks great, that's all you could really ask for.

  • Absolutely amazing!

It's nice and heavy

We received this rolling pin as a wedding present. We opened it when we got it but unfortunately it had to be stored in our pantry unused as we didn't have much kitchen space. A few months ago we were finally able to use it. It's nice and heavy, looks really nice and the little wooden base was so nice to have. However, the center hole is not actually centered, and the rolling pin is off. This makes it difficult to roll out the dough and the like. Was disappointed to find this, wish I hadn't…

  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Color and quality tips

The price of this rolling pin is incredible. There is some volatility associated with this price. There is a gray color in 'white' as shown. However, being marble, it ranges in color from predominantly white to predominantly grey. I know this because I had to replace the first one I received as the marble was broken. The next one I got was a lot whiter (yay!) but didn't roll/spin very well. If you have this problem too, don't try to replace it (unless you want to risk another color). Inside is…

  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No color required

It makes me feel things I never thought of!

I'm a big baker and have always used a wooden rolling pin. I needed a new rolling pin so I bought this based on the reviews. To be honest I didn't know a rolling pin could be so cool. I LOVE its weight and like to pop it in the freezer before rolling out a cookie or pie crust. It gets very cold and stays very cold resulting in flaky pie crusts and great cut out cookies that don't spread. The real proof of longevity came when I needed ground pecans for an amazing new cookie recipe I was trying…

  • Fingers crossed
