Description of ๐Ÿง‚ Authentic Fred Salt + Enchanter Salt and Pepper Shakers

This set includes a salt and pepper shaker. Each shaker is made of ABS plastic. These wand-shaped shakers are a fun way to pass salt and pepper around the table. Each shaker dispenses salt or pepper with a wave of the wand. The shakers are packaged in a clear plastic display box.

Cute but not functional

I fell in love with her and had to have her. A BIG design flaw. If you can't keep them on their backs or in a reclined position, they'll spill salt and pepper everywhere. And every time you knock them over, they spill. And every time you meet them. (You get the gist). They are also difficult to fill because if you fill more than 1/3 of the way it will leak out of the hole (which is right in the middle of the star). A well thought out design would have holes in the top.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad

Great idea? Yes! Functional? Not much

Yes, using the wand to spice up food is really cool, but I have no idea how to store it. I tried putting them in a jar like pencils in a pencil holder, but the salt and pepper crept out and stayed there. Laying them out evenly seems just as inefficient. I don't regret buying them. Seriously, brilliant little idea. Maybe the creators can improve it, but for now I just need to come up with another way to sprinkle magic on my food.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Beautiful, but not super practical.

They are very nice and work perfectly. You will need a small funnel to fill them as they can be filled by unscrewing the chopstick handle and pouring salt or pepper through this tiny hole. Also plan to either store them horizontally or just fill them up a bit if you plan to put them in a vase/cup to store them upright. If you overfill them (more than 1/2 full) and try to store them upright, S&P can leak out through the hole in the center of the star you use to shake for food. I still love themโ€ฆ

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

really cool product

Magic wands are very light. I was concerned that if I used it to sprinkle food it would spill too much, but that wasn't too bad. (I like to use very little spices and such.) The only problem was that the filling wasn't the easiest, you have to unscrew the handle and pour it into the star and the funnel doesn't help, but we rolled it up on a piece of paper and set it down to work well so the lack of a funnel didn't matter. Be sure to look at the hole when inserting so it doesn't spill all overโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Sweet S&P shakers did NOT disappoint!

Somehow I stumbled upon this VERY beautiful and unusual looking salt and pepper shaker. They have a different design than your "typical" salt and pepper shakers. (I tend to like things that are unique and/or different from the norm. So I bought these and decided to use them in our kitchen (hopefully to just replace our regular, ugly S&P shakers). Well my husband DOESN'T LOVE them @ EVERYTHING!AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM they look EXACTLY like the photo slightly DIFFERENT CHEAP AND MOSTโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

I like them because of the novelty, but the salt is pouring

I fill them halfway and put them in a small vase on the table. The whole reason I bought them was to add "magic" to a picky 3 year old's food. Pepper is fine (we love pepper), but the salt will spurt out. I tried filling it with mostly rice and almost no salt. Still cast. Now I don't know if this is really food safe. But I ended up putting some gel super glue all over the hole. This worked along with the rice left in the shaker. This product would be perfect if the salt hole wasn't about 1/8โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
