Disappointed - power tool parts and accessories

This accessory broke after fairly limited use in my opinion. I don't think I'm offended. The bit broke in the middle of a simple cut. I appreciated the accuracy because it cut well until it broke.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Works very well on a walnut in my CNC router

I bought this to use in my CNC router for projects where I need to carve some deep cavities (like the back of a clock for a clockwork) and it works very well. There is a gap at the end between the two cutting edges so you can't drive this bit straight in, but a fairly shallow pitch or spiral works very well. Nice clean walnut cut (that's all I've used so far).

Pros
  • cool product

I guess they don't make them like they used to

, I have several Freud table saws, miter saws and radial saws. Never had a problem. So it was nice to get this bit for a small project involving 3 1/2" long, 7/16" deep slots in maple. Boy was I wrong. This beat has to be the worst beat ever made. The shaft was ridiculously long and I had to set up a router, which I've never had to do before. Then, after several hands-on attempts on maple and pine, the cutter flatly refused to cut further. I thought this thing had a carbide tip but I didn't say

  • Alright!
