Don't buy heavy raincoats that will make you sweat. Frog toggs suck!

I recommend this raincoat to everyone. They are lightweight and will keep you dry. Great buy. They breathe and are very comfortable. I work on boat I. Florida weather. It rains in the afternoon. they hold up well. My friend has had frogs for two years now. Still like new. I had to take XL as there was no large size. I need a large but XL is tolerable, I'm 5'7 150 lbs. they must be large enough to be worn over clothing. Even if I weighed 200 pounds everything would be fine.

Pros
  • Zipper
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Hurricane Irma tested and approved

New homes are normally built in Florida, but the classification leaves a lot to be desired. I've had to drain my backyard and drag myself through 6 inch water during tropical storms and more recently Hurricane Irma. The outer bands of hurricane and torrential rain descended in a howling cacophony of wind and water that was surely eerie and unsettling. Despite the whole mess, this thing kept me dry as a wick. I bought this in addition to some heavy duty knee high boots. Just remember to use the…

Pros
  • Jacket has an adjustable hood with lock and front zip with storm flap
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great raincoat in a small package

Raincoat is packed tightly in a bag made of the same material. The bag is really no bigger than an average laptop. Hard to believe there was a whole raincoat in there. The suit was the expected size and very light. My old raincoat was thick and tough and while it did its job well, it was bulky and hot! This suit takes up so little space in our gear that it's our new choice for camping, canoeing, etc. Lightweight and compact to carry, lightweight and breathable, it makes an excellent rain cover.

Pros
  • Ultra-Lite2 raincoat consists of jacket and trousers
Cons
  • Requires a socket

Practically disposable

Excellent water resistance, breathability. Our group needed something that looked like a fur lined parka, but not a fur lined parka. We're at the Mardi Gras Dog Parade and need a costume that will make us look like arctic explorers without getting too hot, because spring can be hot in Louisiana. We all received this item and lined it with faux fur, added faux stains and were ready to go. They were cute and colourful. Almost everyone in our group threw them away or donated them when the parade…

Pros
  • Elasticated jacket cuffs keep moisture out
Cons
  • Some difficulties

As expected: Raincoats

Worked great on my Inca trip. The crotch is torn as expected but patched well with tape. Very light, waterproof and compact. The pros seriously outweighed the cons for my needs. Order a size up for freedom of movement with pants to allow for freedom of movement (I left XL). Didn't get wet in any water like a normal raincoat. Stayed dry and light all the time. A poncho paired with pants to cover the pack and add breathability was my go-to on the trail and when we got to town the jacket was…

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • I will add later

Just in case at Motorcycle & Powersports

Bought two sets of these for a motorcycle trip with his wife "just in case". The last day of a five day trip and we were a few hours from home when the spray started hitting our protective masks. Pulled over and changed into our riding gear, back on the road and less than 1/4 mile later - boom! Heavy rain that continued for the next two and a half hours until we parked the bike under a canopy at home. We had to deal with heavy rain, driving at freeway speeds (to avoid getting hit by 4WD pickups

Love Me Some Frogg Toggs!

These are the second pair of Frogg Toggs that I have owned. I bought the rest for fishing about 20 years ago. Worked fine but smelled like oil. I am very glad that they do not have any unpleasant smells. They are 100% waterproof and very light. I bought these to do a 7 day hike in the Sierras where the weight was very heavy. I have a raincoat that I really like, but I bought it because the weight of the Frogg Toggs pants and jacket is lighter than the weight of my other raincoats alone. They…
