The scanner comes with a pad so it's an extra for me. Too bad there aren't any markers to describe the boundaries of where the scan starts.

The website says that customers who bought the Fujitsu Document Scanner PA03641-B005 also bought a backing pad. The website is misleading. The scanner came with a background panel so you don't have to spend money to buy an extra one. Why do you recommend buying something that came with the device? Before you click 'buy something', make sure you didn't receive it with another purchase.
