I had to buy a second one so my cats wouldn't fight over it. Now I have one with a fluffy bed and another with a more linen bed. I have five cats and two of them literally don't sleep anywhere else. I only use them with my legs apart, I haven't tried the rocking function because I'm afraid it will startle them and I won't use them again. The fabric is washable and cleans very well. I also vacuum between washes.

My 15 lb cat loves this hammock. She quickly learned to only approach him from the side, otherwise he would fall over. It holds it well and withstands its occasional scratches on the material.
