What a piece of chinese junk. Embossing was almost non-existent. I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s when handcrafted leather belts were all the rage. By comparison, this should have been thrown in the trash once rolled out of a machine that produces poorly processed food. This strap is as good quality as I've seen and outperforms some much more expensive competitors. They are true to size, but the type of buckle you use can make them look different. Measure a leather belt that fits you without the buckle and you'll be fine.
