A good plain shovel at stores, all I could find was plastic that doesn't stick. There is nothing better than a good, powerful vacuum cleaner.

Good, durable dustpan. It's pressed against the bottom so the dirt gets into the pan (rather than under it). I recommend all these "serious" sweepers.

No rubber lip. It's safe to assume that's the case since many have it. The paint is lumpy around the edge and I'll probably sand it down. Unusable hence 4 stars. It's really hard work.

This is a shovel and it does what a shovel should do. The joint where the handle meets the shovel is quite flimsy, so it will flex if the weight in the shovel is too much. This happened to me and I just bent it back. I can imagine that it just breaks if I do it more often.

When I got married I had a metal dustpan. It was 40 years ago. it died Was I shocked to find out you can't buy a metal dustpan in the store? Not even box stores. They have them, but they are for industry, not for the home. The only street sweeping shovels for the house are thin plastic shovels, under which half the dust is swept. There is no comparison. metal is better. For me for 40 years and still. Even my cleaning lady was happy that I had found a replacement.
