Always check the motherboard specifications.

I recommend that you know what you are doing before using it. I had to ask a friend for help, but overall I found a second chip to match my old one and pumped up my RAM to 16GB. It took me forever to find it in the available range, but I ended up getting some extra RAM. Now all I need is a better processor or just a new PC because what I have now is pretty overpowered, which is saying a lot for a low-end gaming PC that used to be an office PC. Will definitely get more of these chips when I need

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Security

A simple upgrade to an old system.

Upgrade from 4GB via 2x2GB to 8GB via 1x8GB. It worked the first time. You have to look, the slots have to be filled with a module, so I downloaded the p55 gigabyte manual. Tried to get 10GB. Or 12GB, with old and new modules, but by mistake. It didn't work so the old 2x2GB were removed. Still a good upgrade for an 8 year old Win7 system that was hovering around 2GB at boot.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

crushed packaging and lack of protection against static electricity.

I crushed my box and received it with a huge hole in it. I know this has nothing to do with the seller or their product, but having computer parts coming to you was excruciating. As a result, the RAM worked despite not being in anti-static packaging.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Anger

Good RAM that does what it promises

This is the second stick of this size from GSkill that I have bought. Bought to double my system's RAM. Both worked perfectly. Maybe not the biggest, or the fastest, or the nicest (although I think it looks nice) RAM, but more than meets my needs, and now that I have twice the RAM, the RAM will never hurt me. Now update the processor. These Ryzen look good.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Did the job and is of course easy to install!

Exactly what I needed, more speed, faster program loading and more memory. While some people may need to remove the heatsink fan to install this RAM module, I didn't have to. My cooling fan is a Cooler Master 212 Evo and was located near the memory slots on my motherboard but there was no conflict.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Some bugs
