It didn't work for me

This reminder didn't work on my AsRock B450m Pro. I had to return them and bought a pair of Corsair LPXs instead. They worked great out of the box. G.Skill didn't overclock to 3k only to 2900 and even that made my system unstable after 5 days. Get Corsair instead of AsRock B450m Pro. I don't know how well they work with other boards and I know that my board is very memory intensive. My wands might just be bad. Well, that's my 2 cents anyway.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • A few minor things

No frills, no RGB internals

The G.Skill 16GB (2x8) Kit is a relatively cheap and easy way to really load up RAM. It doesn't get any easier than this, and as an added bonus, this thing can be clocked up to 3000MHz. The only real downside to this is that the decals on the sticks themselves specifically match those that run in a strict black and red color scheme. And it's definitely not the RGB that many gamers would want.

  • Fits many

AVOID Storage: Internals

I swore I would never buy a G-Skill after encountering issues with rude customer service. But I decided to try. Bought because I needed cheap RAM for Ryzen 3rd Gen. The third generation likes RAM 3000 and above, so I figured it would be a steal. Yes No. I couldn't get it running stable on 3000, so back to the bins. Let's wait until someone wants to build a workstation and throw it in there. money thrown away. Do not buy.

  • Decent performance

Great buy you won't be disappointed

I definitely recommend this RAM in late 2020 and 2021. I've had it for over a year now and have had no problems with it. It's very thin, so space shouldn't be an issue if you have a CPU cooler that comes close. They don't look bad either, so I wouldn't be afraid to put this in a window cabinet if the red suits your color scheme. All in all a great RAM at a good price. Very happy with my purchase

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Security

Check your motherboard compatibility

I used them to build a Ryzen with a Ryzen 5 2600, an ASRock B450m HDV R4.0 and this product. It worked fine for a few days before its default XMP profile started messing around with voltages in my BIOS, causing crazy instability on my system. This only happened with this kit as I tried Corsair's kit and it didn't happen. I also tried the same kit on a different motherboard and it had the same issues. Either it's a compatibility issue or this kit really doesn't like Ryzen. Before purchasing…

  • Useful for more than intended purpose

Decent RAM for a budget Ryzen. Easy OC *updated*

I bought this for a build I did for someone who has always bought ready made parts (Dell, PS etc) and they seem to die from it after a year or two. That's why I said I would create a system that fits all your needs. I was given a budget of $1,000 and got $670. With a 4-core Ryzen processor and this cheap but fairly fast RAM, I was able to build a system that exceeded their requirements. So I would build a budget this memory is great. I didn't have any problems with overclocking either. *Update*

Not sure Computers and accessories

Didn't work no matter how hard I tried, didn't show up or didn't fit the first few times I tried to insert them. The computer does not start correctly. Took me into the bios once and wouldn't run it. Took them out and everything worked. I understand that sometimes things don't go the way you want them to, but I believe they should work. Maybe it's the motherboard or possibly faulty RAM. I don't know but it arrived quickly.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Something's wrong
