This is the only snake and lizard bedding I buy. It packs well for burial and sticks even when wet/dirty for easy cleaning. It is of course also the only safe bedding for herpes (compared to sand, pine etc) unless you use bedding. Bet big and let them tunnel!

I like Aspen Digs for my tortice. I used to use aspen but stopped using it because it is shaved leaving large chunks of aspen that are not soft enough for my Tortice Hortense. She will soon have 8 eggs, and a shaved aspen is terrible for her. Patricia.

I've wanted to buy this for a long time but finally decided to give it a try. My California Kingsnake loves it but he also loves the ZooMed Aspen and I can get 24 liters for $11 at Petsmart. I did a direct comparison and although I'm not a substrate expert I couldn't tell any difference.

Very satisfied with the product. Since it is thoroughly washed and sieved, almost no dust is left behind. Other brands say they are very bad. We had the death of a young snake which was probably a respiratory problem and we always suspected stray dust. My main complaint other than the cost is the size of the bag. We would like to order a larger quantity and get a volume discount.

I bought this as an alternative to paper litter for my rat cage as there were several problems with paper litter and mites/baking soda. You can definitely buy large bags of aspen from pet stores or large pet stores, but I live nearby and only need a couple of weeks. I haven't had any issues with it (it's not particularly dusty or too small), I just wish the bag was a little bigger for the price.

I needed aspen litter for my snake and used Zoo Med but found Galapagos was about half the price. So I ordered a pack of each from Revain. Both are in top form. Bag: Galapagos is resealable which is very convenient. The Zoo Med bag just got ripped open. :Galapagos Islands: Lots of dust, I would say unhealthy dust levels.
