Super fresh in reptiles and amphibians

I actually bought this for a center project, not an animal house, so really didn't know what to expect. When I opened the package it smelled so fresh! I was like wow! The leaves were very large and "whole", no small bits of moss. I think if I were an iguana I would really like it.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Huge Bag of Leaf Moss

Bought this moss to use in two of my huge 30cm terrariums with at least 3/4 bags. I used it as a top layer to retain moisture and as a layer between my rocks and dirt to keep them separated and still have plenty left over for other projects.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • Empty

Very pretty but inconsistent.

I bought 2 bags. The first bag was beautiful and it worked very well. There were 4 separate sheets that were very good and intact. I'm giving a lower rating because the second bag was dry and quite brittle and the sheets were nowhere near as clean as the first bag I bought. I'll probably buy another bag in hopes it will perform as well as the first one. If it doesn't look that good, I'll just send it back for a refund.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Unreliable

Great for a leopard gecko terrarium

Our lion loves adding moss to his aquarium. It smells like earth but I don't see what else people can expect. This is MOSS. Other reviews complaining about the smell are ridiculous. It smells like earth because that's where it comes from. It can be easily ripped to the size you want. It dries really quickly, but that's not an issue a small spray bottle can't handle. Our leopard gecko is happy about it. We hope this helps her skin.

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Problems

Very happy! suitable for terrarium litter, sand and substrate

I bought the panels 2 weeks ago and they are in the same condition as when I first put them in the terrarium although there have been many of them gone and slept on my blue tongue skinks. Love the color and the fact that it doesn't fly all over the place like spagnum moss. There were 6 sheets in the bag, the price is worth it especially as I won't be throwing away as much as I was throwing away spagnum when doing my daily spot cleaning. I haven't experienced mold as other reviews have…

Pros
  • Little competitor
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

So much moss! Good clean smell.

Received my moss the other day, has a nice fresh smell and a nice dense green layer with a light brown underside. I moisten it and wring it out a little, then plant a little around the base of some houseplants as living mulch and put a little on top of the soil in small containers to use as beds for air plants. The moss is nice and fresh and there is so much of it! I have about a third left, gotta figure out how to use it! Definitely happy with my purchase. And I love the invigorating fresh…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Functionality

Beautiful leaf moss that stinks but is worth it!

Very fluffy moss. A sheet was nearly 2 inches thick. As others have mentioned, it dries out a bit, but I'd rather spray it more often than worry about mold. I have used 2 sheets in Kokedama projects and it looks amazing and I have live shoots that will look very good. how you grow The only drawback is the smell. It is difficult to describe and varies from leaf to leaf. One smelled of fish emulsion and the other of very earthy mold. Both sheets smell nice now and there is no mold growth, but it…
