Not as cheap as I thought.

I don't like buying cheap or inferior products. But my bank account was low so I took a risk to buy this unit for my ATV for a long trip. Surprisingly, it hasn't expired. Very good and a very good deal for the price that comes with the mount.

Pros
  • This is great

  • Need a point of sale

Replacement tank in Tools & Equipment

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's 5 inches thick and has an irregular shape. I bought a motorcycle rack. If it doesn't look symmetrical. Also, the thickness makes it difficult to stack anything on top. It would be nice if 3 inches or less.

  • handy item

Has worked as it should.

The tank worked as built. With a tank this small, it was easy to build without a vent. I have tanks from other brands and they have a similar design. The center connection is smaller than competitors, so they are not suitable for this tank. It comes with its own mount, but it's not as strong as other brands.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • unreliable

Poor fit and attachment

The cover assembly was deformed. The cap molding had a serious defect (it was split, not fully formed). Incorrect neck size - hitting the inside of the tank making the lid difficult to close and seal. Needs to be trimmed and bent slightly to avoid a central mounting hole. Mounting brackets will only work if the pipe is at least 2 inches long or you will need to shorten the U-bolts. There are no installation instructions for this. Mine needs a replacement cover to fix it if the seller takes care

Good price. Bracket modification required

First the tank comes with a bracket. It is screwed in and "snaps in". It could be tighter but seems ok. The mount it comes with needs a bit of modification to actually work. My roof rack has about 1/2 inch rails. The U-bracket that holds the mount is too long to fit properly. I cut them in half and that helped. The U-bolt is also too wide to fit through the holes in the mount. I squeezed the ends with pliers until they came through. In addition, the whole setup looks solid and has a really good

Serious? - Gas canister

Pros: very strong Cons: You can see in the pictures that the spout is flexible. it's not like this. Because it's rigid, it doesn't fit completely inside the jar, making a tight seal impossible. Ironically, Amazon shows a replacement flexible hose with this $13 gas canister. The attached photo shows how the hose clamp now fits. Solutions: heat the hose and bend it to size; buy a replacement flexible hose; Cut the hose 3 inches shorter or return the fuquer. The description offers satisfaction and

Fair rating good for tools and gear

I've seen comments about grommets being too long and U-bolts being too long, but I went for it anyway and encountered the same issues. The U-bolts that came with the bracket were so long that they protruded at the top and prevented the cylinder from actually sitting flush on the bracket, making tightening impossible. I dropped the screws and used paracord and a bunch of rivets to attach the mount to my post which held it up well. Then use a razor knife to cut about half an inch off the grommet…
