can! After 24 hours it seeped through the glass. Damaged $150 product that I can't salvage. Basically the bottom is cracked and leaking. Didn't crack while pouring. I will never buy from this company again! I had to cut open the lid of the jar to get something out.

I was planning to use this large jar for my betta fish. It worked perfectly and my fish seemed happy for about 1 hour. An hour later, the bank collapsed, flowing in all directions. It can still store dry items, but if you were hoping to store liquids in this jar, you might want to reconsider.

Very happy with the size. But the lid wouldn't hurt to update a bit, it smells like an old tin rag wiped clean, black oily nasty mush, not clean at all. I wish there was a wax seal around the lid like the Mason jars, I really wish they made that clear in the ad. So I guess I'll have to put some plastic in there before I put the lid on so my ware doesn't get contaminated by that nasty metal smell. Thanks, otherwise it's a great product.

This jar is absolutely gorgeous. It looks like an old fashioned rock jar and would look great with candies wrapped in it. However, I'm not a big fan of the generic "vintage" logo. The two gallon size is huge. Unfortunately, the glass isn't as thick and heavy as one would expect from a glass of this size; it is nothing but a real bricklayer.
