🎮 Retro Games Magnetic Board by Gamie Review

We bought these for a spring break trip and the kids (9-12) loved it. Easy enough to play and clean up. All chips for each game can be kept in individual games (reducing the pain of losing game chips) as they are magnetic. Remember that the pieces are small. Not recommended for young children or children who put things in their mouths. We continue to use and play most games.

Overall it's really great. My kids liked it. Although I have a few quibbles. Dividers in the middle make some games difficult to play, such as B. Tic-Tac-Toe. That's a heavy blow. Also, the boxes are a bit difficult to open and we broke one of them, which is bad as they contain instructions for the game. the end of a long journey. The time will show.

I had something like this when I was a kid and imagine my delight when you found it! There are so many board games to play, they are small and easy to carry. The only thing to watch out for is that the boards are very small so the pieces are small and easily lost (or eaten) by children. All games come in small boxes with instructions. I think that's a great deal for the number of games you get!

Update 9/1/2017: The company contacted me after I wrote this review and offered a full refund as I was not completely satisfied with the product. I stand by my original rating but will say this is a five star product in terms of customer service. You get way more games than I expected and my kids loved bringing a selection for our recent trip. However, they are extremely cheap and the magnetic parts are very small and easy to miss. Added bonus: Nine Men's Morris is a killer old school game!

We recently did a 2800 mile trip and my 8 year old son loved it! She and my 14 year old played the most tic-tac-toe. I love that almost all games come with parts bags. There was only 1 that I had to provide my own bag. They are all packed in a small box and fit nicely in a large box. I wrote the name of each game on the side up so they can be easily identified. They look good online but most of these games are useless. They're cheap at $17 a set, but depending on what you're getting you can just send them $17 and let them keep the product. Bought these to share with 5 grandkids when traveling and may be able to save half the games for use. I have 4 checkers/chessboards, but on 2 of them the squares don't fit to play.
