🚪 Residential Replacement Garage Door Hinge Review

The door hinges on my 16 foot steel garage door were starting to age and rust, and one had already snapped, so I decided to replace them all. This bow was a good choice and the price was right. While I wouldn't call it 'heavy duty', it looks like it will handle the cold Chicago winters and I'm sure it will last a while. I feel I made a good choice for the price.

Nothing to add other than these hinges fit my door perfectly. Replaced hinges number 2, 3 and 4. Be sure to look at your door and find the correct hinges as each has a different height to allow for track position and a snug fit when closed. I also ordered new rollers and had them replaced right away. Thanks to a new belt-driven door opening mechanism, new hinges and new rollers, the door runs surprisingly quietly.

We just had to drill a new hole (EASY) and it worked great. There is only one thing you can do on AMAZON and that is be warned that every hinge is DIFFERENT. Loops #1, #2, #3, and #4. Instead of swapping the top and bottom mounts, I just swapped the rollers. If they are greasy, clean the rail and opening screw and use some brake cleaner spray to slide them from the door to the motor.
