Nice tight fit for 5/8 " hoses BUT the clamps are poor quality

The connectors are made of brass-plated aluminum and are good quality. Eventually they will probably corrode and have to replaced again. The quality of the clamps that came with the sets are a different story.Just repaired three broken 5/8" connectors. I had some hose adapters from a previous purchase which are a little too small for 5/8" garden hoses. These connectors are a good fit for my two different-brand 5/8" hoses. These are not solid brass

These are not made of solid brass, they are made from a lightweight metal, possibly aluminum, with a thin bass colored coating. The description indicates "SOLID BRASS CONSTRUCTION: The hose connectors are made of solid brass which is more sturdy and durable than plastic or aluminum one. " I took a file to one edge of the fitting--if solid brass it should be the same color throughout. The hose fittings work, but wont' be as durable as solid brass.UPDATE: The seller has revised the description to

Easy to use: my feedback

Item high-standard. Very fast delivery. The packaging was exceptionally effective. Service was outstanding. Some users may find the process of installing the connectors and clamps to be difficult or time-consuming, especially if they lack experience with DIY repairs!

Extremely light weight/ not brass.

These appear to be brass but once you pick them up you quickly realize that they are not. These things are super light weight and not in a good way. Much lighter than the ones you would buy at the big orange/blue home improvement stores. These must be coated aluminum fittings. Cannot rate them on their longevity as I just installed them. Not impressed if I didn’t have the need to immediately use them I would have sent back.

Easy to install, and sturdy

Had to pick this up because the other brass connector I used failed in month. These don't have any plastic pieces to from what I can tell and uses a simple, easily replaceable part with the hose clamps. One first install the hose did leak under pressure but tightening the clamp fixed it easily. I loved that part. The other ones I used required super human strength to hand tighten and this one just requires a screwdriver. Looking at it I'm assuming if these clamps fail I can just pick up…
