Ground the yellow wire!

Urgently needed it for the race in Nevada. Revane paid for a one-day delivery to my motel in the mountains. But when I then hooked it up to my dedicated race computer, it didn't work! What to do?!? It won't even generate a PPS clock even when it's disconnected from my circuit! Then I decided to read the online manual very carefully (documentation does not come with the product itself). It turns out that the yellow wire is the remote power button line - if it stays floating, the unit is powered…

Exactly what I wanted except it's a bit big so it can be tucked away in the back of the car.

Excellent GPS: fast location. The software to set it up is BAD (I've been writing life software for 40+ years) with no help file, but you only have to use it ONCE. Also, the "FAQ" link on the Garmin webpage does not work for this device. The Garmin website is organizationally a disaster; It's easier to find material on the site by doing a general Google search and finding a link to the Garmin website. This is what happens when you let marketers manage your website. Three months before buying…
