The beeper keeps turning off while my dog is chasing. I had to call my dog 12 times and turn the beeper back on. 2 hours hunt. This was the first time it was used straight out of the box. I would not recommend buying this beeper.

Bought two of these for my setters. You're constantly switching off and every now and then you start squeaking as if on the spot while the dog runs. I had no problems with others. Will send one back and hope for a better replacement.

Unfortunately I had problems with the beeper. The alarm will be silenced if the dog is shaking or jerky (especially when worn around the neck or in wet weather) and the dog needs to be recalled and a button pressed. It also got stuck in spot mode while the dog was moving. If I could give this beeper less than 1 star I would. I bought the first one and had trouble turning it off on its own or at best with an intermittent beep. I thought I was just unlucky and got a defective one. After going back to the store and swapping for a new one, I had the exact same issues. I still use the old Tritron beeper on my other dog and it still works perfectly! $119 down the drain for this piece of junk.
