Great value GPS. Easily updated and won't let us get lost. This is a good quality, easy to use GPS. We love it, and with lifetime updates, you can't go wrong. It also has an extra memory slot so it can store lots of maps if you buy a 16GB card.

Got a Garmin 215 as a gift a few years ago and was very happy with it so when it came time to buy an extra GPS I didn't even think about other brands, the Garmin 255 is a great GPS on a budget. It's easy to program and use, and the device I bought came with lifetime map updates so I know I can keep up with the times.

Perfect size with all the essentials. As mentioned, it also includes lifetime map updates. I updated the maps and firmware yesterday with no problems. Both lasted about an hour. The same GPS is available in Revain without lifetime maps. People please buy this with lifetime cards; this is the best offer. If you don't need all the bells and whistles you probably won't need, this GPS is what you need.

I just received my 255 and haven't used it yet but wanted to say how happy I am with this size. It's much easier to manage and take with me, which is what I plan to do, rather than installing it in a car. However, I think it would be visible from the dashboard if that's what you prefer.
