Older Garmin GPS units are much better than newer models.

A vintage, tried and tested Garmin GPS is just what you need. Stay away from the new ones if you can, as many features and functions have been removed from the new ones, like the 40 and 50 series. I don't know about others, but this unit is solid, reliable, and geocaching suitable.

I love it, we both have it!

I bought this model because my husband already had one and it was very easy to use. I really don't like the suction cup mount so I bought one of these that looks like a beanbag and sits on the dash. You can see the map very well because of its size. I also like Garmin's reputation. It had good online reviews and you can buy lifetime map updates which my husband found very helpful in his job as a travel salesman.

Good product, great price

It is easy to use, the display is a good size and easy to understand. It would be nice if it were easier to select alternate routes from the map view rather than having to go back to 'setup' which isn't easy while driving so you'll definitely need a co-pilot. Nor was it very successful to choose the most obvious path. My wife is a travel magician and she thought of quicker and more obvious routes faster than GPS so many times I ignored it and listened to my wife. Volume or voice is not loud or…

Garmin is the way to go!

This is our third Garmin. We travel a lot to sporting events in unfamiliar areas. Not only does this get you to your location; It can help you find a place to feed a hungry team after a game. We were the first parents on the team to use it and now everyone has it. They're no longer afraid of getting separated from the pack on the freeway. This is the first Garmin with storage and we love it. I have friends who have other brands and they just aren't that user friendly. We also bought a dash…

The best offer of GPS. Period

All in all I figured it out and it really is the best if you drive a lot. Not only does this unit come with an FM traffic receiver (much better if you live in a big city - check out the website, I live in New York) that costs [.] dollars on its own, this unit has it's own self taken great. Nice big screen, good sound, did I mention LIFETIME TRAFFIC?, and it has so many POIs. Alternatively, if the device does not have the POI you want, you can go to Google Maps, connect the device to your…
