Do not buy "updated "

In the end I returned 2 out of 1000 "updated". The 2. I had jumped from 0 to 20% uphill which was very annoying. I ended up going to a bike shop and bought a new Garmin (not 1000) and it works great.

Great Bike GPS!

Great replacement for my old unit (either 800 or 820) that had GPS navigation for over a year. This model is really good: the GPS gets really fast and there are three data screens that can be easily customized to the fields you want to see. I also like the physical buttons and large screen. If you really don't need all the fancy workout routines, this model really is perfect.

Constantly lost information about the setting.

Very disappointed. I originally bought the 1000 Edge and liked the performance specs, but the screen kept flickering. I switched to explorer and lost a lot of features on the edge. No Di2 support, no virtual partner, no power dynamics, etc. Well, from what has been said, I'm taking it on my first trip and I have a map flashing on this unit and the GPS only has 15 of the 38 miles pursued and made it.
