Just like the original. The tools provided make this task easier.

If you're like me, you love your Garmin 220. If you need a new strap, get this one. If you don't have one of the smallest torx screwdrivers you've ever seen, I can't imagine how it would be possible to replace it without the tools provided. My old strap was original, lasted 6 years, it's an exact replacement from Garmin. It took about 90 seconds for both sides.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great OEM replacement easy to install

My Garmin Forerunner 220 is the best running purchase I have ever made. After 5+ years and 8000+ miles of sweaty running, the strap began to tear. This replacement looks and feels like the original band, and replacement is a breeze thanks to the included mini Torx screwdrivers. It seems a bit pricey but definitely worth it as long as the watch is still good.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Very expensive

It tears and breaks

I now have two Garmin bands for my Forerunner. Both had the same problem, they broke after about a year of use. The rubber they use for the strap is too stiff and doesn't flex well. If you bend the strap back a little while putting it on, it will start to tear. After some time it breaks down completely. Luckily, when mine finally broke, it happened while I was sleeping. Otherwise it could fall on the street and I could lose my watch. On top of that they are expensive and I strongly encourage…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled
