Gates 31748 Replacement Fuel Tank Cap - Equivalent to OE Standards Review

This is definitely a good value gas cap. I was concerned the code would be there, but thankfully it worked as advertised. Works well on Jeep TJ.

I almost broke the cap unscrewing it while filling up on a Friday afternoon while filling up, so I knew I was going to need a new cap before it came loose. I was busy and didn't have time to rush to the auto parts store which I hate because they usually treat women like trash so I bought it online. It doesn't take much to install because it just bolts back on like adding gas, so even I can do it. It works out.

Fits my 1998 Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep had a lock cover when I bought it and that cover was always in the way and I spent up to ten minutes looking like an idiot at a gas station trying to get the gas cap off. I did this for a year. Maybe I'm a little stupid, but this cap makes it less noticeable when I fill up my fuel tank. Best seven bucks I've spent in a long time.
