On a scale from hard plastic to flexible silicone, it falls somewhere in the middle. You can bend the disc in half without damaging it, but it's still pretty stiff. I was expecting the disc to almost collapse on itself if you hit something hard like wood, although this disc is still hard enough to have some bounce.
