This fan is terrible. People look good. I have no idea why. The first arrived as if it had been soldered by a prisoner in one of those Chinese labor camps. The wiring burned to the ground and still fell off. I was able to fix it. It's a sleeve bearing fan, which sucks. Do yourself a favor and just buy an AC Infinity fan, it lasts twice as long and is quiet all the time.

I bought two of these for the inside of my Mando helmet that I wear when airsoft. The fans were a good size and a bit noisy because they were inside my helmet and the sounds reverberated but weren't loud enough to affect my mic and amp which were in my helmet to project my voice . Unfortunately my cables got disconnected but I think it was because I took my helmet off. I eat 5 stars because the sound was low and thin and blew very well with both fans running. I use this fan to blow air into an almost totally enclosed space for my orchids, humidity is typically 60% or more. There are no problems with the fan (it's fixed, so it's just not in a closed space, but next to moisture). It's been running 24/7 for a few months now. (I bought a second one to replace that IF and WHEN and it MAY stop working - so far so good.

I use this fan for the perhaps unusual purpose of bringing fresh air into my bedroom even when the door is closed at night. The fan is so small that I can just put it next to the exit door under the door gap and it will blow the stale air out of my room all night (I have a vent on the other side where the air enters). Such a small fan but it keeps the air clean and fresh. Since it's USB powered, finding a small charger to power it was very easy.

I have to admit I'm a bit obsessed with cooling fans. I've spent a lot of time optimizing cooling systems in many devices, mainly because heat is the #1 killer in many tech devices. This particular one is pretty quiet for this type of fan and moves a lot of air for a 5V fan. I doubt it will have the endurance of some of the more expensive units, but for the hobbyist it's good value for money.

My laptop is connected to a monitor and the keyboard/mouse is in a desk drawer. This fan ideally attaches to the drawer to dissipate accumulated heat and is powered on via the laptop's USB port when the power is turned on. I had to lengthen the wire a bit as the wire that comes with the kit is quite short, about 6 inches or so. My gaming laptop feels cool now after adding this fan. I bought this fan to cool some old hi-fi equipment from the 80's. The fan has a large size and excellent build quality. It moves a lot of air and expels it through the back; However, the fan is a bit noisy. This is most likely due to the amount of air it's moving (which is a good thing).
